rate: 100Soundmagic ... sound quality that is hard to beat for the price. My 2nd pair.
Had 3 Soundmagic earphones. E10S, E50S and E80 . Worst among the 3 is E80, the supposedly "high-end reference model" is simply too bright (sharp treble), no bass, not musical but has best clarity. E10S and E50S are "quite similar", except E10S is distinctively V-shape tuned and therefore mid-range is surpressed. E50S has the best tonal balance amongst the 3 models. My E10 lost, E80 sold after owning it for a month. My current E50S is being used by family member and so, here I am, buying my 2nd pair of E50S. BTW, E50S has a successor, it is E50C. ONLY diff btw the two is E50S has a manual "phone model select switch" while E50C is without the switch (i.e. auto-switching/select). Sound quality is exactly the same from what I read. E50C is retailing at $69.90 and E50S is at $39.90, hence I stick with E50S. Only beef is colour available is RED or RED only, would have preferred Gun Metal
