Qoo10

Qoo10’s policies are mostly based on country laws and regulations. Sales of goods in violation of applicable laws and regulations are strictly prohibited.

Seller must meet all the requirement (if any) under applicable laws and regulations if qualifications or requirements in order to sell or distribute goods.

If the seller fails to meet such qualifications or requirements, Qoo10may restrict the seller from selling the subject goods.

Although in some cases, Qoo10’s policy may be based on input from our members and our own discretion especially for dangerous or sensitive items.

Certain electronics equipment, including equipment prohibited by Info-communications Development Authority(IDA) of Singapore, is not permitted to be listed or sold on Qoo10 .

 Examples of prohibited electronics equipment

   - Scanning Receivers

   - Military Communication Equipment

   - Telephone Voice Changing Equipment

   - Automatic Call Diverters

   - Radio-communication Equipment operating in frequency bands 890-915MHz and 935-960MHz except Cellular Mobile Phones or such other equipment approved by the Authorities.

Goods sent by global sellers into Singapore from another country are responsible for ensuring that the importation of that type of product complies with applicable Singapore laws.

Based on ICA guideline, below items are prohibited to be imported into Singapore

   - Chewing gum (except oral dental and medicated gum)

   - Chewing tobacco and imitation tobacco products

   - Cigarette lighters of pistol or revolver shape

   - Controlled drugs and psychotropic substances

   - Endangered species of wildlife and their by-products

   - Firecrackers

   - Obscene articles, publications, video tapes / discs sand software

   - Reproduction of copyright publication, video tapes, video compact discs, laser discs, records or cassettes

   - Seditious and treasonable materials

Qoo10's policy comply with the regulations of the AVA. Any products against AVA’s regulations are prohibited on Qoo10.

 For the safety of our members, the following type of food should not be listed on Qoo10.

   - Listings containing medicinal claims

   - Noxious food items

   - Food which contains any prohibited substances or substances in excess of permitted proportions

   - Adulterated food without fully informing the buyer at the time of sale of the nature of the transaction

   - Non-pasteurised diary product

   - Wild mushrooms

Sellers are required to comply with laws and regulations such as labeling, non-misleading statements, sanitation and import / export in Singapore.

Qoo10 strictly prohibits the sale of counterfeit currency, coins, bank notes and Government stamps, as well as equipment designed to make illegal products.

Based on national laws and regulations, it is an offence to sell, buy, import or export such items.

With the exception of permission from the Authorities, no person shall use photographs, drawing, or design of currency notes and coins in advertisements, etc.

Qoo10 comply with the laws and regulations under Health Sciences Authority.

Any medical devices products which does not abide to HSA‘s regulations are prohibited on Qoo10 .

Sellers are also encouraged to visit the HSA website to obtain more information before listing medical devices on Qoo10 .

Based on the Arms and Explosive Act(Cap 13), the Arms Offences Act(Cap 14), the Miscellaneous Offences(Public Order and Nuisance) Act(Chapter 184), and other domestic and international laws, firearms, weapons, knives and military items are strictly prohibited to be sold in Singapore.

Any arms and explosives listed on Qoo10 must comply with the Arms and Explosive Act covering the manufacture, import, export, sale and possession of weapons.

Otherwise these items are prohibited on Qoo10.

The sale of tobacco products is strictly regulated under the Smoking (Control of Advertisement and Sale of Tobacco) Act(Cap 309), cigarettes, cigars, smokeless tobacco or coupons therefore such items are not permitted on Qoo10 .
