    No reimbursement for loss/damage of Normal Mail packages

    If you select normal mail mode of delivery, and your items are damaged or lost in transit, there will be no reimbursement by the post office, the seller, or the website. Long delays or loss are rare (<1% in our experience), but because we send out thousands of packages each month, we see a handful of loss/long delay cases every month.
    The post office handles a much higher volume than courier companies, so the risk of damage in transit is higher, in spite of reasonable efforts in packaging to avoid damage,
    The post office does not guarantee safe delivery of normal mail packages, and neither does the seller. Select Qxpress (or qualify for a free upgrade to Qxpress) or self collect to ensure safe receipt of your purchases.

  • FAQ

    I paid a shipping fee of SGD 1.99 for Normal Mail shipping, but when I received the package by Singpost Normal Mail, the stamp shows SGD 2.55 or SGD 0.60 or SGD 0.90. The stamp never shows SGD 1.99
    Why is there this difference?

    The shipping fee covers the international shipping from our office in Seoul to our forwarder in Singapore, the local shipping from our forwarder in Singapore to the customer, and our forwarder's handling fees. The actual cost is actually higher than the shipping fee we charge, but we cover the additional cost from the item margin. The shipping fee is usually a flat fee, although for a few heavy items the shipping fee increases with quantity purchased. For many of our listings shipping fee is waived if there is a sufficiently large purchase. Details on shipping fee are always made known on the item listing page, and the buyer will also be informed of the total shipping fee before making payment, so that the buyer can decide whether to proceed with the transaction.

    You order was confirmed on 21 February and the package was sent by Singpost unregistered mail on 22 February. It usually takes 2-4 business days for delivery, but in some cases there can be delays. Long delays or loss are rare (under 1% in our experience), but because we send out thousands of packages these cases crop up. Unfortunately, as you selected Singpost unregistered mail, we are unable to track your package.
    Attached is a picture of the batch with your package circled. Please check the address.
    Please also check if someone received the package on your behalf. As it is possible your package may not fit into a letterbox, it could also be at your area post office in case noone was home at the time of delivery, so please check there also.
    We will inform our logistics provider in Singapore to keep a lookout for your package in case it is returned to sender.

    Dear customer,
    Please read the terms of sale in the item description. Only Qxpress shipping mode is guaranteed. The postal service does not guarantee the safe delivery for Normal Mail packages, and so the buyer bears the risk.
    However, if you do not have a history of claiming for lost items from Qoo10, and can verify the recipient address with a utility bill, then we can treat the case as returned to sender after 2 months from shipping, even if the item is not returned to sender.
    If you still have not received the package by April 22, please contact us again, and attach a copy of utilities bill. We will check with Qoo10 on claim history. If there are no problems, we will treat as returned to sender even if we have not received the items returned -- we will reship the item to you if there is stock or refund if there is no stock. Additional shipping fee is applicable for reshipping, and any refund will be less the initial cost of shipping the items.

    Dear customer,
    Out of the 300-500 packages shipped each week, there are about 10 cases of delays/returns. Delays can be up to 1-2 months.
    Postal service does not consistently leave note for Normal Mail non-delivery. Customers have good result from going to nearest post office and showing postal staff picture of the package for them to check their current stock of undeliverable returned mail. Once mail is returned to sender, reshipping fee is applicable, or if customer wants refund then the shipping fee is deducted from refund.
